The board of Africa Prudential Plc, a leading share registration and business solutions provider, has appointed Christabel Onyejekwe as Chairperson, following the retirement of Chief (Mrs.) Eniola Fadayomi, MFR, after 12 years of meritorious service. The announcement was made during the company’s 12th Annual General Meeting.
Christabel Onyejekwe is an accomplished business leader with over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. She previously served as Executive Director, Business Development, at the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement Systems Plc (NIBSS), where she led several strategic initiatives that deepened financial infrastructure in Nigeria. Currently, she serves on several corporate boards and brings expertise in governance, strategy, and risk management to this role.
The outgoing Chairperson, Chief Eniola Fadayomi, served on the Board of Africa Prudential Plc over a twelve-year tenure marked by innovation and corporate excellence. Under her chairmanship, Africa Prudential witnessed significant milestones that enhanced the company’s reputation as a technology-driven registrar business across Africa.
Speaking on the new appointment, Chief Eniola Fadayomi, said: "It has been a privilege to serve this great institution, witnessing its transformation into the formidable registrar business it is today. I am confident that Mrs. Onyejekwe will bring renewed energy and perspective to the Board, and I have no doubt that Africa Prudential will continue to thrive under her leadership."
The incoming Chairperson, Christabel Onyejekwe, expressed gratitude to the Board for the opportunity, stating: "I am honoured to take on this role and build on the legacy of excellence established by my predecessors. I look forward to working closely with my colleagues on the board and management to drive the company’s strategic objectives."
Also retiring from the Board after 12 years of impactful service are Samuel Nwanze and Peter Elumelu, both Non-Executive Directors.
In line with its succession strategy, the Board has announced the appointment of Vincent Ukoh as a Non-Executive Director, subject to approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ukoh currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of HH Capital Limited, a diversified investment firm with interests in financial services, energy, hospitality, and real estate.
